PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS

Head & Body

Start with a magic ring, ch 1 to secure ring.

If you don’t like the magic ring method, use the ‘chain 2 method’ described in the Notes section above, then continue on to Round 2. I highly recommend you to try the magic ring method, though!

Round 1: Work 6 sc in magic ring (6)

Round 2: 2 sc in each st around (12)

Round 3: *sc in next st, 2 sc in next st*, rep * – * around (18)

Round 4: *sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st*, rep * – * around (24)

Rounds 5-8: sc in each st around (24)

Round 9: *sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog in next st*, rep * – * around (18)

Round 10: *sc in next st, sc2tog in next st*, rep * – * around (12)

Create Baymax’s face using a pair of 6mm safety eyes and black embroidery thread. Then, stuff the Head.

Omit safety eyes if creating for young children, as it may pose a choking hazard due to small parts. Use black yarn and sew on eyes instead.

Round 11: sc2tog around (6)

I continued on to the Body without fastening off, but you can choose to do them separately, in which case you would start with 6sc in magic ring. The following instructions are for continuing without fastening off.

Round 12: sc in each st around (6)

Round 13: 2 sc in each st around (12)

Round 14: *sc in next st, 2 sc in next st*, rep * – * around (18)

Round 15: *sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st*, rep * – * around (24)

Round 16: *sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st*, rep * – * around (30)

Round 17: sc in each st around (30)

Round 18: *sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st*, rep * – * around (36)

Rounds 19-22: sc in each st around (36)

Round 23: *sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st*, rep * – * around (42)

Round 24: sc in each st around (42)

Round 25: *sc in next 5 sts, sc2tog*, rep * – * around (36)

Round 26: *sc in next 4 sts, sc2tog*, rep * – * around (30)

Round 27: *sc in next 3 sts, sc2tog*, rep * – * around (24)

Round 28: *sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog*, rep * – * around (18)

Start stuffing Body and continue stuffing a little more as you go.

Round 29: *sc in next st, sc2tog*, rep * – * around (12)

Round 30: *sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog*, rep * – * around (9)

Round 31: *sc in next st, sc2tog*, rep * – * around (6)

Fasten off and weave in ends.
